Selecting the right settings for your large format printer jobs

When you are using the printers like the hp designjet 1050c printer you will find that there are three types of settings in it. The first one is immediate, the second one is optimized, and the third one is after processing. The nagging question before you therefore would be which one of the three settings you should use for your large format printing jobs.

All these settings are for the task to be accomplished by your printer and computer before the real printing starts. The immediate option will enable you to reduce the overall printing time but some of the prints might require a sort of additional processing.

At the time of such additional processing the printing will pause for the moment.  The disadvantage of the process is that the ink already on the paper will tend to dry and this might disfigure the printing. This setting is better for such printing where there is no text. Even at that time you should turn off the “nesting” feature. The drawback persists in all designjet printers.

When you use the “after processing” mode it will mean that all the works relating to preparation for the printing shall be completed much before the actual printing takes place. Here the printing will not stop till the job is accomplished. Therefore it is the best method of printing for all complex documents with text, graphics or a combination of both. Whether you use hp designjet Z2100 printer or others the result would be the same. The optimized option balances the time of processing with the time of printing and is suitable for most of the print jobs.
